Quit Taking IT Personally!

Parenting teens and older children is all about breaking away from each other.  It is a challenging time.  In order to survive this, you have to learn to not take things personally.  Sure, it gets personal but you, as the adult, must grab the bigger picture and not get sucked into taking IT personally...

Because once you start taking things personally, the next step is getting defensive.  This is another useless place that will get you nowhere in this parenting your teen stage of your life.

So, remember during the next lively interaction with your teen... Q-TIP!
